Randy Cavness has been working in the Equine Industry since 1976 with a degree in Equine Production and Management from Tarleton State University. He brings to the business many years of hands on experience. From 1988 – 1998 he ran his family owned Ranch working alongside his Father, Don Cavness, breeding horses, cattle and sheep in Cameron, Texas. For ten years he was Stallion Manager, Broodmare Manager and Operations Coordinator for the well known Granada Farms in Wheelock, Texas. He was later transferred to North Texas to work for Venture Farms in Aubrey as the General Ranch Manager. Presently he is General Manager of Legacy Equestrian Center in Celina, Texas which is on a 800 acre Ranch. The Ranch includes the Equestrian Center, a herd of Longhorn Cattle and many miles of trails in which to ride on.
In 1995, he received his Real Estate Agent License specializing in Livestock and Equine Properties. Also, coming from a family background in politics, his Father, Don Cavness, served in the State Legislature from Travis County for 20 years. Don Cavness’ Father, C. H. Cavness, was State Auditor for forty years. Randy helped to organize many of his father’s campaigns learning the ability to work well with people.
Along with years of Management experience Randy brings a vast level of experience in western horsemanship.
